Our name Passion Community Church represents our beliefs and strategies for the church.  Our name is derived from four distinct passions:

 

• Passion for Christ- While most Christians today will say that Christ is the center of the church, we believe that needs to be taken to a deeper, more individual level.  The passion we have for Christ must be the foundation of everything we are and everything we do.  Without Him, and our passion for His will, we are no different than the people who do not know Him.  It is our number one priority to have the people who come in contact with us be able to witness and experience a true passion for Jesus Christ.  We feel that we have more to offer than just church- we have a living Christ. 

• Passion for the Community- In order to influence the people of our surrounding communities we need to be able to affect the community in a positive way.  We do that by taking the love of Christ to them.  We must display to them that Church goes beyond the Sunday service but extends throughout our everyday lives.If we do not affect the community, then how will they even know we are there?  It is vital that we influence the surrounding community so much so, that if we were to close our doors they would experience a loss. This is our goal and it is not a small one, but with the “Passion” of Christ and a spoken and agreed upon “Passion” for the community, then we will make that impact.  

• Passion for Relationships- Relationships in the world today have really suffered.  Our goal is to get back to real honest open relationships where we can love, learn and laugh together as we go through life together.  Never again will you have to say that I am alone because at Passion Community Church.  Our goal is to serve and love you in a way that you have never experienced before. 

• A Passion for You- God has given each of us a calling or gifting that He wants us to excel.  Ephesians 4:11-13 says:   “ It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  God has a gift that is unique for you and as we operate in that gifting, it helps all of us to mature in Christ and attain the fullness of Christ!

 

 

As you can read above, Passion is at the heart of everything we do including our name.  It was an easy choice to pick the name Passion Community Church because our passion truly will be the difference.
