• Jason Moore - Senior Pastor / Elder

    Jason came to Christ at the age of 16, and his life has been centered around ministry ever since. In the summer of 1996, he married his true love, Jennifer, after meeting her while launching the Northeast Ohio Christian Youth Chorale. That ministry eventually became a thriving Christian youth choir that Jason founded and co-directed alongside Jennifer.


    Over the years, Jason has served in a variety of ministry roles, including youth ministry and church planting. He also spent several years in the business world, working at The Little Tikes Company and with TTI Inc. (Hoover and Dirt Devil vacuums).


    Jason holds a Master of Christian Ministry from HarvestNet Institute, a Campus Crusade for Christ seminary. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Harvest  Leadership Alliance. 


    Jason and Jennifer have two children, Zachary and Rebekah, and they are proud grandparents—known affectionately as “Papa” and “LALA.” They live in Ravenna Township with their “honey girls” (their honey bees) and chickens.


    When he’s not serving at church, you might find Jason on the golf course, hiking the woods of West Branch looking for Cory (see below), boating and swimming with the family, or simply enjoying the outdoors.  He also loves to make his own maple syrup!  


    Pastor Jason loves social media and is a passionate Cleveland Browns fan—as well as a supporter of all Cleveland sports. He has even been known to jokingly pray for and cast out the evil spirits of those who disagree with his choice of football teams.


    He also loves music (one of the things that first drew him to Jennifer), especially Christmas music. Yes, Virginia, it is perfectly acceptable to listen to Christmas music outside of December!


    Pastor Jason believes life and ministry require the right balance of seriousness and humor. Around Passion Community Church, we take Jesus very seriously—but we also believe it’s okay to have fun along the way.

  • Chas Pierce - Associate Pastor / Elder

    Chas has been a lifelong resident of Portage county, graduating from Ravenna High School.  Chas has been married to his wonderful wife Tonya for over 25 years and a proud parent of two beautiful daughters Sara and Mary.  Besides being a once in a lifetime friend to Pastor Jason and a wonderful man of God, Chas is also a Journeyman machine repairman employed at Goodyear in Akron for over 20 years!

    Chas (and Tonya) have been involved in ministry for over 18 years.  Both have an associates degree in Christian ministry from Soma School of Ministry/Wagner Leadership Institute.  From leading missions trips, sunday school teaching, prayer leader, and Pastor Chas has done it all!  He also leads co-leads the Rootstown area Celebrate Recovery!  

    If not preaching or leading some ministry at Passion you may find Chas enjoying all sports.  He has passed the test of being an avid Cleveland Browns fan!  Don't let this get out there but often Pastor Jason and Pastor Chas have regular meetings on the golf course too!

  • Jennifer Moore - Children's Church Director

    Jennifer has been in and around music her entire life. She received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Otterbein College and her Masters of Music Education from Kent State University. She currently is the Chorale Music Director at CVCA (Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) where she directs six different choirs of over 160 students. Over the last 20+ years that she has been a teacher for both public and private schools she has enjoyed performing in locations like Chicago, Washington D.C., Toronto, Nashville and Carnegie Hall (a highlight) in New York City. Locally, her choirs have sung for area nursing homes and at The City Mission in Cleveland and with Christian Contemporary artist Michael W. Smith at EJ Thomas Hall at the University of Akron.

    Jennifer’s favorite thing to do is sing the Lord’s praises and loves to develop other’s God-given talents! She believes that ALL are called to “Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord” even her husband when he sings in the shower!  

    Besides being married to the Pastor (she has a lot of stories, just ask her), she enjoys the summer months of sun(SON)shine and everything outdoors. When she is not soaking up the sun, floating in the pool, she is gardening or cleaning.

  • Cory (a.k.a Kevin) Del Savio - Worship Leader

    A graduate of the aeronautics program at Kent State University and a licensed pilot, Cory usually spends more time with his head in the clouds than on earth. When he is fully grounded, Cory can usually be found around Rootstown and surronding areas helping hockey players and playing his guitar!  

    Some of his expertise include: ice skating, zombie killing, flying stuff, and being awesome. Cory also plays guitar and other random stringy instruments Sunday morning during praise and worship, Saturday nights at REAL, and Sunday evenings at IGNITE. 

    Cory usually finds himself more comfortable sitting with the kids at fancy gatherings; which helps him understand issues that kids go through today. When not doing any of the above activities, Cory will most likely be: fishing, shooting, getting lost in West Branch State Park, or possibly some combination of all of the above.

    Sorry ladies Cory found the love of his life, Lena,  and they married in the fall of 2017!
